designProphets (commencing 2006)

designProphets is a professional community of graphic designers and industry supporters who are concerned about the current state of the graphic design industry in Australia and are looking to make important contributions to its correction and future prosperity.

This designProphets website (www.designprophets.com.au) has been devised to provide fellow graphic designers, students and graduates the opportunity to learn, comment, contribute, participate and register as a designProphet member. The site offers a portal for the display, discussion, collection and distribution of helpful and relevant information and advice.

The designProphets initiative was started by Jonathon Barratt, the National Manager of Zynke Design, and an active participant in the design industry for over fifteen years. He is a professional member of AGDA, an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Certified Professional Manager (CPMgr).

Jon has identified an array of different industry issues, but more importantly he offers real solutions and active ways in which members can help to correct the problems. He supports his arguments with facts, common sense and qualified management experience. Enough talk. It's time to act.
